James Sheahan
James Sheahan resides with husband, Mark Glanville in Bowan Park, NSW and together they form Inverlocky Performance Horses.
James has recently been selected on the Australian team to compete with Minton East Chaucer at the 2024 FEI World Champs to be held at Monpazier in France.
In James words:
Growing up in a veterinary hospital and penciling for my dad, Dr Brian Sheahan at endurance rides, it was inevitable that becoming an endurance rider was clearly in my future. I began riding at a young age on one of Anne Jones' beloved endurance horses who I partnered with for my very first training ride. I was hooked!
Over the decades that followed I was extremely lucky to have the opportunity to learn and ride from the best in Australia such as Toft Endurance, Castlebar and Bullio along with working and competing in the Middle East, NZ, France and Africa. With a small hiatus from the sport it has been fantastic to dive straight back in to competing, training and breeding. With my current goal of representing Australia at the 2024 Endurance World Championships onboard Minton East Chaucer.

INVERLOCKY PERFORMANCE HORSES
Inverlocky Performance Horses is the love child of the dynamic duo Mark Glanville and James Sheahan. Both Mark and James grew up with horses from a young age with Mark working and riding on cattle property's and James competing in competitive endurance racing. When the opportunity presented itself to join the team at Bullio Arabians, we jumped at the chance . With the generosity of the Bailey family our breeding program began and our first Inverlocky stock hit the ground. When the time came to choose a prefix, it felt fitting to use the name of the Sheahan family home, Inverlocky, where it all started.
Over the past few years with the help and guidance of Chris Bailey along with Stella Harbison of Brechenridge, we have created a strong foundation to our bloodstock of what we feel is some of the best bloodlines in Australia. Our goal for the future of Inverlocky is not only to breed exceptional performance horses but to compete at the highest level and aid in the growth of endurance racing in Australia.
